These Terms govern the plumbing services IvO Plumbing provides to customers in Lurgan and surrounding areas in Northern Ireland. By engaging us — whether through this website, by phone, by WhatsApp or in person — you agree to these Terms.

1. About us

IvO Plumbing is a sole-trader plumbing business based in Lurgan, County Armagh, Northern Ireland. We serve domestic customers in Lurgan and the surrounding area within approximately 25 km.

2. Quotes and bookings

We provide an estimate for the work after understanding the problem, either over the phone, by WhatsApp photo, or in person.
The estimate is confirmed before any work begins. You will not be charged hidden fees on top of the agreed price.
If the work turns out to be different from what was initially described once we are on site, we will pause, explain the change, and only continue with your agreement.
Quotes are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise.

3. Workmanship warranty

We provide a 12-month workmanship warranty on all completed jobs. If something we installed or repaired fails because of our workmanship within 12 months of completion, we will return and put it right at no further cost.

The warranty does not cover:

Faults caused by separate parts of the plumbing system that we did not work on.
Manufacturer defects of parts supplied by the customer.
Damage caused by accident, misuse, freezing, third-party tampering, or unrelated building work.
Wear-and-tear of consumable items such as washers, seals and cartridges beyond their normal service life.

Manufacturer warranties on parts we supply are passed on to you and run alongside our workmanship warranty.

4. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work unless a different arrangement has been agreed in writing in advance.
We accept bank transfer and cash. We do not handle card payments through this website.
For larger jobs we may request a deposit to cover parts before starting. This will be made clear in the quote.

5. Cancellations and rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule a booked visit free of charge if you let us know at least 12 hours in advance.
If we have already travelled to your address for a confirmed booking and are unable to start work through no fault of our own, a reasonable call-out charge may apply.
For emergency call-outs, work usually begins on arrival and cannot normally be cancelled once we are on site.

6. Access and safety

You agree to give us safe and reasonable access to the area where the work needs to be carried out.
You are responsible for telling us about any known hazards (e.g. asbestos, unsafe wiring, structural issues) before work begins.
If we discover a safety risk during the work, we may stop and discuss next steps with you before continuing.

7. Insurance and limitation of liability

We carry public-liability insurance covering our plumbing work.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:

death or personal injury caused by our negligence,
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation,
any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under UK law.

Subject to the above, our total liability for any loss or damage arising from the work shall not exceed the price paid for that work, plus any cover provided under our public-liability insurance.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as loss of income, loss of opportunity, or damage caused by pre-existing faults in your property's plumbing system.

8. Consumer rights

Where you engage us as a consumer, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by these Terms. We will perform the service with reasonable care and skill, in a reasonable time, and for a reasonable price where one has not been agreed in advance.

9. Complaints

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. Any dispute will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version that applies to your job is the one in force when you accepted the quote.
